One of the most beautiful times in Northern Michigan is during a Full Moon.
Our clear skies and crisp clean air allow the moon to illuminate the ground and trees. This is even more spectacular
when the moon is shining off freshly fallen show or glistening off Cedar Lake while you are relaxing by the fire
or bundled up on the dock. These are the nights in 2008-2009 you can expect a full moon:
October 14
November 13
December 12
January 11
February 9
March 11
April 9
May 9
Maybe it is the Northern Lights you are hoping to catch. These most
often occur from September to October and from March to April. In Northern Michigan, they often appear as white lines
in the sky towards the North. They seem like they are a glow from a distant city, but if you watch them - they move.
